Important note:

  • Using UFT with IE 11 in Windows 8.1 machine, here Internet Explorer 11 may not work. To make IE perfect for UFT, manually disable “Enable Enhanced Protected Mode*” and “Enable Protected Mode” in Internet Explorer.

Disable “Enable Protected Mode”from Tools > Internet Options > Security tab

  • If somebody installed two versions of QTP – one is in 32-bit and other is in 64-bit then UFT opens first in 32-bit rather than 64-bit,when user will start the UFT application.

  1. Informative, neatly explained.
In the 4th screen, I think we may need to select the “Using Standard Download” from the drop down for easy download.

  2. I am baffled, the dialog boxes displayed during my installation are different. I did not see the Customer information and there was no Additional Installation Requirements dialog. What did I miss?

  8. I can’t get 11.5 to install. I don’t have and have never had QTP on my system. When I double click the setup.exe file I get a pop up that says No Background Bmp defined in section “General” entry “BGBmp”. Then I click ok and I get a new message No Application Name defined in section “General” entry “App Text”. Then a white box appears. I am guessing this should be the start screen but it never changes from a white box. What am I doing wrong?
